The action follows and stems from the criminal prosecution of John Knight (Knight), a Party-endorsed candidate for Hennepin County, Minnesota Commissioner, District 6, who was charged under § 211B.06, subdivision 1 with four counts of making a false campaign statement about a political opponent in the fall of 2002.
